A collaboration to develop surface drones adapted for professional uses

Development surface drones designed and marketed by Bord à Bord is based on a partnership with Cavok, firm specializing in aeronautical consulting, research and engineering

The objective is to offer units capable of meeting the needs of public and private operators seeking high-performance solutions for data collection, monitoring or technical missions in the maritime environment.

Made from marine-grade aluminum, these drones are distinguished by their robustness, payload capacity, and adaptability to onboard equipment. Their architecture allows for the integration of various sensors according to user needs.

Various applications on water

Surface drones are now finding their place in many fields of activity. They can be used for surveillance missions in port, coastal or industrial areas, wind farms and offshore platforms while limiting the exposure of personnel on the ground.
They are also particularly well-suited tools for scientific operations requiring regular measurements or data acquisition in aquatic environments. Their ability to carry various measuring instruments opens the door to numerous uses in environmental studies or technical monitoring.

An effective solution for bathymetric surveys and water analysis

Bathymetry is one of the most requested applications. Thanks to the integration of dedicated sensors, surface drones make it possible to carry out precise surveys of the seabed, rivers or ports.

This technology facilitates measurement campaigns while reducing operating costs compared to traditional nautical methods.

The data collected can contribute to:

  • to the maintenance of port infrastructure
  • to the development of coastal areas
  • to the monitoring of navigation channels.

Prospects for aquaculture and maritime activities

The fish farming sector is also one of the areas where surface drones offer new possibilities. They can be used for:

  • inspection operations
  • control
  • monitoring of aquaculture facilities.

Presented at NavExpo , these drones illustrate the evolution of maritime technologies towards more flexible solutions, capable of supporting professionals in various missions while improving the efficiency of operations carried out on the water.
