The building site Bord à bord, based in Plestin-les-Grèves (Côtes-d'Armor), and specializing in the construction of aluminum boats, has bought the neighboring shipyard, Amares, which is located a few kilometers away, in Guimaëc, in Finistère.
We knew each other well, explains Loïc Cheynet, the boss of Bord à bord, which bought the Amares shipyard at the end of 2023. We are 15 minutes away, our two sites do the same job, working with aluminum. We were competitors, but we helped each other, we exchanged technical advice. The boss of Amares even lent me a boilermaker for three months.
